10 DEC 2024 WORLD HUMAN RIGHTS DAY CELEBTED BY THANJAVUR DISTRICT UNIT

On December 10, 2024, in observance of #World #Human_Rights_Day, the Thanjavur District unit of the Human Rights & Social Justice Mission, led by District President Mr. Ramesh Shankaran, organized a community outreach event in Kumbakonam, Tamil Nadu. Alongside district unit members Sivasankaran, Surya, Swami Nathan, Saravanan, Shankar, Pandian, Muthu, Swaminathan LIC, and Sasikala, the team distributed a variety of rice dishes and drinking water to 150 underprivileged individuals.

This initiative reflects the organization’s commitment to promoting love, peace, justice, and brotherhood, aligning with the nationwide efforts of the Human Rights & Social Justice Mission to commemorate World Human Rights Day through various community-focused activities.

The theme for Human Rights Day 2024, “Our rights, our future, right now,” emphasizes the role of human rights as a preventive, protective, and transformative force, empowering individuals and communities to build a better future.

The Thanjavur District unit’s efforts contribute to the broader mission of fostering a more equitable society by directly supporting and uplifting marginalized community members.
