On December 10, in observance of World Human Rights Day, 18-year-old Shuresh Maibam, who has been appointed as a State Active Member of the Human Rights and Social Justice Mission (HRSJM), Manipur, participated in a program organized by the Department of Human Rights, in collaboration with IQAC, Naorem Birahari College, Khundrakpam, Manipur.

During the program, Shuresh Maibam expressed his views on the significance of World Human Rights Day and highlighted serious human rights and social justice violations currently affecting Manipur. He emphasized the urgent need for awareness, unity, and collective action to protect human dignity and justice.

He also spoke about the importance of forming a strong HRSJM State Unit in Manipur by appointing more educated and committed members, who can work positively and constructively towards safeguarding human rights and promoting social justice in the state.

His participation reflected the active involvement of youth in the human rights movement and the growing commitment of young leaders to bring meaningful change in society.
