Based in Panvel, Maharashtra, our mission is to defend fundamental human rights, empower marginalized communities, and build a society rooted in dignity, equality, and justice for all.
THE URGENT NEED FOR ACTION
Despite constitutional protections and progressive laws, ground realities remain harsh:
Women and girls continue to face gender-based violence, child marriage, and unequal opportunities.
Children from low-income and Dalit/Adivasi families are often denied quality education and a safe childhood.
Environmental degradation disproportionately affects tribal and rural communities through loss of livelihood, polluted water, and climate vulnerability.
We work at the intersection of women’s rights, child rights, and environmental justice because these issues are deeply interconnected.
OUR FLAGSHIP PROGRAMS
1. WOMEN’S RIGHTS & SAFETY INITIATIVE – “SHAKTI SANKALP”
This program focuses on ending gender-based violence and empowering women economically and socially.
Legal aid and counseling centers for survivors of domestic violence and sexual harassment.
Self-defense workshops and leadership training for young women.
Livelihood programs including skill development in tailoring, digital literacy, and entrepreneurship.
Awareness campaigns against child marriage and dowry in rural areas around Panvel, Raigad, and Thane.
2. CHILD RIGHTS & EDUCATION PROGRAM – “BAL ADHIKAR”
Every child deserves a childhood free from exploitation and full of opportunities.
After-school support and tuition centers for underprivileged children.
Campaigns against child labor and school dropouts.
Distribution of educational kits, school uniforms, and scholarships for girls and boys from marginalized families.
Regular workshops on child rights, hygiene, and nutrition in partnership with local schools and anganwadis.
3. ENVIRONMENTAL JUSTICE & COMMUNITY RESILIENCE – “PRAKRITI RAKSHA”
We believe environmental rights are human rights.
Tree plantation drives and mangrove protection campaigns in coastal Maharashtra.
Awareness programs on sustainable farming, waste management, and water conservation for tribal and farming communities.
Legal advocacy against illegal land encroachment and pollution affecting local villages.
Climate education for youth to build long-term environmental stewards.
4. LEGAL AID & COMMUNITY EMPOWERMENT CELL
Free legal assistance for victims of caste discrimination, human trafficking, forced labor, and land rights violations. Regular rights awareness camps in villages and urban slums.
Impact Stories from the Field
Rani, a young woman from a village near Panvel, escaped domestic violence with our legal support and is now running her own tailoring unit, supporting her two daughters.
Rahul, a 12-year-old boy rescued from child labor, is now excelling in school through our Bal Adhikar program.
Over 5,000 saplings planted and several awareness sessions conducted under Prakriti Raksha, helping local communities protect their environment while securing their rights.
