World Human Rights Day was observed with great significance at Vellalar College for Women (Autonomous), Thindal, Erode, through a series of awareness programs jointly organized by the Human Rights & Social Justice Mission (HRSJM), the District Legal Services Authority, Erode, Care 24 Hospital, and the PG & Research Department of History, Vellalar College for Women.

The program began at 11:00 AM and focused on empowering students and creating awareness on human rights, drug prevention, and environmental responsibility.

Key Activities Conducted

  1. Human Rights Day awareness lecture
  2. Pledge by students to protect themselves from drug addiction
  3. Discussion on responsibilities of NSS volunteers
  4. Seed dispersal activity for a greener environment
  5. Awareness on environmental protection and sustainability
