Erode, December 10:
World Human Rights Day was celebrated with enthusiasm in Erode district by Ms. Kalpana, Tamil Nadu State Women Empowerment Secretary of the Human Rights & Social Justice Mission (HRSJM). The program was organized in collaboration with Vasavi College students, the Principal and staff, and the Director of Nexa E-Gen Academy.

As part of the celebration, a social environmental activity was conducted to promote ecological awareness and sustainability. Participants carried out a seed dispersal drive, during which nearly 500 seeds of various tree species were dispersed across designated areas. The initiative aimed to encourage greener surroundings and strengthen the importance of environmental responsibility among youth.

Ms. Kalpana highlighted that environmental protection is deeply connected to human rights, as a healthy and clean environment is essential for the well-being of all citizens. The college faculty and students expressed their support and pledged to continue participating in such meaningful activities.

The event successfully combined awareness, education, and action, marking World Human Rights Day with a strong message of sustainability and social responsibility.
